Create, communicate and connect with your community.
Parent/child together time
It's a special time that enables parents and children to enjoy a variety of learning experiences and activities together.
Parent discussion led by a parent facilitator
This is an opportunity for parents to meet together and share experiences, ideas and information. This time is facilitated by a parent educator. Parents meet in a separate room for discussion while children participate in Early Childhood Learning (with the exception of nonseparating classes).
Early Childhood Learning
Children explore, discover and develop skills using books, art materials, blocks, puzzles and toys. This time is supervised by a licensed early childhood instructor and support staff.
Home visit
If you have questions or concerns regarding children in your home, ages birth to pre-kindergarten enrollment, and can't come to ECFE, then ECFE can come to you! Home visits are available at no charge to District 622 residents. Visits can include activities for children and/or discussions about parenting. Call 651-748-7290 to schedule a one-on-one visit.
Parent Advisory Council
A place to speak for your child, yourself and your peers. Here's a great opportunity for you to playa vital role in your child's early learning. Participate in planning, implementing and evaluating programs and outreach efforts for all ECFE families. We need parents who see the value of ECFE and are willing to share their energy, ideas and concerns with our Early Childhood Family Education staff. The Parent Advisory Council meets once a month at Gladstone Community Center, 1945 Manton Street - Maplewood. We are very informal. Treats are served. Sibling care is provided at no cost, as long as the ECFE office is notified one week in advance that you need it. Come join us; we value your input.
